Simple tips to reduce food waste:
- When in a lunch line or in a restaurant only order what you’ll eat
- Take home leftovers to refrigerate and eat within the next few days
- Check your pantry/fridge first before going out to buy more food
- Store food properly
- Cook with scraps
- Freeze/dehydrate/preserve food to eat later
- Eat ugly food (e.g. weird shaped foods or weird colors – they still taste the same)
- Share food with another person
- Compost
